Privacy

• Your account: your name, email, island, and — if you give them — your phone number and club or company. If you use a password, we keep only a scrambled form of it (scrypt), never the password itself.
• If you sign in with Google: the name, email address and Google account number Google shares when you agree to it. We ask Google for nothing else — no contacts, no Drive, no calendar.
• Your jobs: the files you upload, the choices you make on the job form, the estimate and quote, and the messages between you and the shop.
• Your projects: design files you keep on your shelf, and the parts and boards you make in the studio.
• If you connect Onshape: the access the connection needs, sealed (encrypted) on our server. We can disconnect it any time you ask, and so can you.

To price and make your parts, tell you how the job is going, and get it to you. That's all. We don't sell or rent anything about you, we don't show ads, and we don't use advertising or tracking scripts.

• The shop team, to work your job. Your files are private: only you and the shop can open them.
• The services that run the site: Vercel hosts the website and Supabase holds the database and files, both in the western United States. They keep it for us and can't use it for themselves.
• A partner shop, only when a job needs one (circuit boards are made by a partner fab) — and then only the files and specs for that job.

One cookie keeps you signed in (30 days), and a short-lived one guards a Google sign-in while it's happening. The site remembers day or night, and an unsent job form, in your own browser. No other cookies.

We keep your account and jobs while you use the shop, so your history, files and quotes are there when you come back. Ask and we'll delete your account, its jobs and files — except what we must keep for tax records once you've paid for work. Email shop@metalform.example from the address on your account.

Accounts are for people 13 and over. School and robotics teams under 13 can send jobs through a teacher or coach's account.

If this changes in a way that matters, we'll say so on the site and email members before it takes effect.
