Mild steel (CRS / A36)
Fiber · bendsStrong and cheap — and it rusts fast in salt air. Powder coat it or choose galvanised or stainless outdoors.
Solid outlines are on the rack today; dashed ones are special order (about four working days). Every note is the shop's honest word on how that stock lives here — salt air, UV, humidity.
Fiber laser · 3000 × 1500 · CO₂ laser · 1300 × 900 · CNC router · 2440 × 1220
Strong and cheap — and it rusts fast in salt air. Powder coat it or choose galvanised or stainless outdoors.
Zinc-coated: good for brackets and flashing outside. Cut edges are bare steel — touch them up.
Clean and food-safe. Fine near the coast; within splash of the ocean, choose 316.
Marine grade. For boats, ocean-front rails and anything that lives in the spray.
Bends without cracking and shrugs off salt. The default for enclosures and boat parts.
Stiff and machinable — flat plates, mounts, jigs. It cracks on a tight bend: choose 5052 to bend.
Warm gold that patinas. Nameplates, inlays, trim.
Bus bars and art. Reflective — thin gauges only on the fiber.
Flame-polished edges straight off the laser. UV-stable cast sheet — fine in the sun.
Void-free and crisp to engrave. Edges come off the laser toasted brown.
Hawaiian koa face veneer on a birch core. Special order; engraving reads beautifully.
Cheap and flat — jigs, templates, prototypes. Swells in humidity: keep it indoors.
Slippery and tough: gears, bushings, wear strips.
UV-stabilised starboard: never rots, never rusts. Boat hatches, cutting boards, outdoor signs.
Furniture, shelving, stage sets. Edges sanded on request.
Rigid, light sign panel that takes the weather.
Island-grown slabs, sourced per job — or bring your own board. Priced at quote.
Crisp and cheap. Softens in a hot car and fades in the sun — indoor parts.
Tougher than PLA, handles heat better. Good for functional parts.
UV-stable — the outdoor plastic. Mounts, housings, anything in the Hawaiʻi sun.
Rubbery and tough: gaskets, bumpers, grips.
Carbon-filled nylon on the hardened-nozzle Bambus: stiff, strong, heat-tolerant.
Fine detail — miniatures, prototypes, visual models.
Polishes to glass-like clarity: light pipes, lenses, fluidics.
ABS-like toughness with resin detail. Snap fits, enclosures.
The all-rounder: strong, slightly flexible, watertight at 2 mm walls. Housings, brackets, end-use parts.
Tougher and more ductile than PA12 — takes impacts and living hinges. Plant-based.
Stiff and heat-stable: jigs, fixtures, parts that must not flex.
The strongest powder: drone arms, robot parts, metal replacement.
Rubbery and resilient with no supports: seals, grips, lattices, shoe soles.
